Some projects I’ve worked on.

  • Intel Gaming Hub.

I oversaw all strategy and creative production for the hardware giant’s 80+ article content initiative, generating first-page results for how-tos, explainers, and troubleshooting articles. We paired a crisp, no-nonsense editorial voice and imaginative art to create a hub of Reddit-proof technical content. The result is an SEO (and lead value) bonanza.

  • Twofivesix Insights.

My thought leadership campaign forewent SEO catnip in favor of best-in-class channel explainers and audience analysis. I targeted in-the-know folks across industries via email and LinkedIn. Client concentration dropped 30% in six months, and one major tech platform asked my team to replicate the report for their own needs. (We happily obliged.)

  • Spin Master X Riot Games.

The toymakers wanted their first foray into games to be special. Working with stakeholders from both teams, I developed a strategic framework that deepened their understanding of League fans. Our test campaign netted over two million impressions on TikTok and boosted sales 800% in one-week, with more heart-eye-emojis than we could count.

  • The A.V. Club.

The storied pop-culture outlet had a wildly successful viral content section … that it was ashamed of. My mandate was to maintain its traffic-generating energy while increasing its editorial quality, a task accomplished by rigorously sourcing and reporting new stories, recruiting new writers, and writing gonzo headlines that lit up Twitter.

  • Kill Screen.

The beloved print magazine was ready to make the leap to a full-fledged website. That meant content — lots of content. I recruited scrappy writers for a news operation that colored outside the lines of traditional games journalism and sourced features that stood out for their willingness to buck convention. Traffic skyrocketed 400% in a year.

  • EX.

EX is a weekly research report I started with a few likeminded friends focused on the intersection of culture and technology, with a bias toward the former. That means the internet, games, music, A.I., the media, and SpongeBob. Open rates currently above 50%. You should subscribe!
